Dr. Raj Sahajanandan is a senior Consultant in the Department of Anesthesia at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre (SQCCCRC). He has done MD Anesthesia from Delhi University and DNB Anesthesia from National Board of Examinations. He did accreditation in Anesthesia (FRCA) from Royal College of Anesthesia, London and General Medical Council (GMC) UK. He did cardiac Anesthesia and TEE training at Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. He has more than 20 years of experience and was working as a Professor at Christian Medical College, Vellore India and was the Head of the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Care. He has 40 national and international publications and authored chapters in text books. He is a prolific teacher and an invited faculty for national and international conferences. His expertise is in Onco anesthesia, Thoracic anesthesia, Interventional Pulmonology, Tubeless airway technique for advanced airway tumours, Cardiac anesthesia as well as Perioperative echocardiography. His special interest is management of high-risk surgical patients including advanced hemodynamic monitoring and transoesophageal ECHO.
