TREATMENT PROGRAMS

Rare Cancers Program

The Rare Cancers Program at SQCCCRC provides comprehensive clinical care for patients who are diagnosed with or suspected of having a rare cancer, including:

  • Sarcoma
  • Melanoma
  • Neuroendocrine Tumors
  • Cancer of Unknown Primary
  • Other types of the rare cancers

When patients visit the centre, the multidisciplinary team consists of professional staff in the surgical, medical, radiological, rehabilitative and palliative treatments. The same team continues to provide care for the patient during the treatment journey.

The treatment services of the program are based on medical evidence and modern international guidelines for patients in the various treatment departments, including: outpatient clinics, day care, and inpatient wards.

In the program, the condition of each patient is accurately diagnosed and assessed to determine the appropriate treatment plan in the weekly MDT meeting.
