Dr (Gp Capt) Parli Raghavan Ravi is Senior Consultant in Anaesthesiology at SQCCCRC. He did his MBBS and MD) in Anaesthesiology from the Armed Forces Medical College of India. He finished his DNB (Anaesthesia) in 2002 and did his Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine in 2004 from AIIMS New Delhi, Fellowship in 2009 at the Tripler Army Medical Centre, Pacific Air Command Hawaii USAF, USA in Trauma Anaesthesia and Transport Medicine and Fellowship in Clinical Research 2011 from NTR University, Hyderabad.

An Indian Armed Forces Veteran and Professor in Anaesthesiology, he has more than 20 years of experience in Anaesthesiology. He was deployed in Congo (2007) and in Afghanistan (2005,2012) to provide Anaesthesia and critical care services in the resource poor warn torn countries. He established the department of Anaesthesia in the Balk Medical University, Mazar-e—Sharief for which he was awarded the Presidential award and UN Mention in Dispatch in the year 2006. He holds the patent for the patient transfer unit (PTU) and was the founding member of the Critical Care Air Transport team of the Armed Forces of India. At the time of hanging his uniform (2021) he was the Senior Adviser and HOD at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore and Staff Surgeon to the Air Officer Commanding in Chief Training Command Indian Air Force.

He is an examiner in Anaesthesiology for many Medical Universities (RUGHS,MUHS,DU,GTBUHS..) in India and the National Board of Examinations (NBE). He has authored/co- authored 30 papers in peer reviewed national and international journals and has authored chapters in two books. He is also the Course director for ATLS (India). His areas of interest and expertise are Onco-anaesthesia, Trauma Anaesthesia, advance haemodynamic monitoring and Regional Anaesthesia. He is member of various professional bodies (European Society of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Society of Perioperative medicine and Onco-anaesthesia, Trauma anesthesia Indian Society of Anaesthesia, Indian Society of Aerospace medicine, Indian Society of critical care medicine among others).
