Since its establishment in March 2022, the Creative Center Team (SQCCT) has organized activities and events to enhance employees’ internal communication. This introduction expands its Theranostics Program, fundamentally reshaping the landscape of oncology treatment nationwide.
Gynecological cancers have been increasingly seen as a public health concern due to several factors which are linked to the global rise in the incidence rates, the late presentation of the disease, and the high number of relapses. Additionally, the unique nature of the disease itself involving the most intimate female organs put an additional psychological burden on these women.

In a significant step towards innovative medical care, Gastrointestinal Cancers Program at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre (SQCCCRC) has performed the first Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (LRP) in Oman.
LRP is a minimally invasive surgical procedure to remove the prostate gland in patients with prostate cancer.
The Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Department at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Center (SQCCCRC) represented by the Interventional Radiology Unit has successfully proven Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) for Image-Guided Interventional Procedures (IGIPs), specifically for cancer patients in the Sultanate of Oman. This marks a significant step towards improving healthcare quality, ensuring the safety of patients and healthcare providers, and reducing unnecessary radiation exposure while keeping high-quality diagnostic and treatment procedures.
In recognition of the Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center (SQCCCRC), represented by the Genomics Department, organized a scientific day to raise awareness among healthcare professionals in the Sultanate of Oman about Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer syndrome (HBOC).
The Center paid great attention to activate the role of the social worker at the clinical/medical level, a service that distinguishes the Center due to its commitment to providing integrated care for cancer patients.
