The Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center in the Sultanate of Oman was established with a medical vision allowing cancer patients to receive specialized therapeutic services which are not limited to its patients (only) but extended to their families as well. This is a remarkable endeavor given to the Center’s patients together with their families. Researchers and trainees in the medical fields (Cancer) and related specialties similarly benefit this medical vision of SQCCCRC.
As we celebrate the World Cancer Day this 4th February 2024, Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center, (SQCCCRC) continues to exert its ongoing efforts to combat cancer and reduce its impact on individuals and communities around the world. SQCCCRC’s approach to cancer prevention and care is the essence of celebrating World Cancer Day. The Center’s initiative aimed at raising awareness about cancer, promoting early detection, prevention and treatment, and advocating for improved access to health care services for cancer patients understanding the inequities in cancer care and making the necessary progress to address them.
Since its establishment in March 2022, the Creative Center Team (SQCCT) has organized activities and events to enhance employees’ internal communication. The goal is to provide them with a knowledge and skill-building experience that uplifts their competencies in the work environment, especially with recent graduates eager to contribute their scientific and life experiences and aspiring for broader opportunities for learning and contribution. Here are some highlights of what the team has accomplished during this period:
Gastrointestinal Cancers Program organized several scientific dialogue sessions under the name of (HBP café), which comes within the framework of exchanging medical knowledge and experiences in gastrointestinal cancers field, as the program hosts international experts from various health institutions and universities. The (HBP café) program began in 2022 and addressed rich and latest topics aiming to enhance the scientific competency of healthcare personals within Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre and beyond.
