Dr Zamzam Al-Hashami
Consultant medical oncologist

Dr Zamzam Al-Hashami is a consultant medical oncologist and the focal point of the Head & Neck and Thoracic Program at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center (SQCCCRC). She is responsible for treating patients with CNS, head and neck and thoracic malignancies with special interest in treating lung cancers.

She completed her basic health science and MD at Sultan Qaboos University in 2011 followed by residency in Internal Medicine at University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in 2018. She pursued her subspecialty training in medical oncology at BC Cancer, UBC, Canada. She is active in research and aim to lead clinical trials in lung and head & neck cancers. After completing her fellowship, she joined SQU as assistant professor in the College of Medicine and Health Science and medical oncologist at SQUH. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
