Dr Ikram Burney
Senior consultant medical Oncology

A senior consultant in Medical Oncology at SQCCCRC. He completed his residency in medicine and fellowship training in Oncology at Aga khan University Hospital, and Southampton Hospital. Since 1997, he has been working as consultant in Medical Oncology at the Aga khan University, Karachi, and then at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman. Now he is working at SQCCCRC. Besides clinical trials, he has been actively involved in teaching, and assessment of medical students, and has held several administrative positions in teaching and implementation of undergraduate curriculum. He has also conducted several seminars and workshops for continuing medical education for postgraduates, nurses and clinical practitioners. He has had several funded research grants to his credit, and has more than 140 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His area of clinical and research interest includes Gynecological Oncology, Lymphoproliferative disorders, and Supportive Care in Oncology. He is committed to provide evidence-based clinical care to his patients.
